Man, fuck r/fanfiction. I'm so mad. I had this saved comment from a post asking about deleted fanfiction, linking to some older version of Archive of our Own at test.archiveofourown.org, which I hadn't known about. It didn't have anything I haven't already recovered but it was still cool to have, since it has my old account on there... well, it has the fanfiction for that horrible fandom on there, but, uh, let's not talk about that.

Still on the fence about recovering it. I don't know. But anyway...

Thought I'd check it today. I didn't remember the URL so off to Reddit to look at my saved comments and poof, it's just gone. WTF. I was freaking the hell out trying to find the post where the comment had been made and everything, discovered the ceddit alternative where you can apparently find deleted posts and such, and, in the end, the post itself hadn't been deleted but a bunch of comments had, including the one I had saved.

That comment was important to me and those assholes just deleted it. Thank god the URL was still in my browsing history. Sigh. I should be more careful. I don't get why they have to be so against archiving fanfiction. Not everyone is trying to dig up someone else's deleted fanfiction. Some of us want to recover our own fanfiction or just like having an archive of it out there. It's not even like it's violating terms of service, it's right there on AO3's domain. If they really didn't want people accessing it they could just lock it down, so why even delete a comment linking to it? Jerks.

Well, I have the URL here now so I don't have to worry about losing it. So glad I still had it somewhere, would have been sad to lose it. ._.
If you don't have an account you can create one now.
